Volunteers are needed to help in care homes supporting poor and vulnerable children affected by extreme abuse, homelessness, poverty, illness and disability.
a. Nature of Work: Assisting with cooking, cleaning, making beddings, playing with kids, teaching, mentoring, landscaping, feeding kids in nearby slum, and excursions. You will also act as big sister/brother to the children by providing them with love and sharing in their dreams, emotions and inspiration in life.

2. Environment Conservation           
Our environment project needs volunteers to help in efforts to rehabilitate, protect and save the only remaining ancient rain-forest in Kenya. The forest faces major threats from human encroachment and destruction. Safeguarding the forest will conserve the ecosystem, water catchments, wildlife and attract rainfall, for multiple benefits to environment, people and animals in the region.
a. Nature of Work Conducting environmental education, preparing tree nurseries, planting seedlings in forest reserves, distributing seedlings to villages, campaigning against forest destruction, maintaining botanical gardens and conducting anti-jiggers public education.

3. Human Rights and Social Justice
Volunteers are need to assist with a community human rights center to promote human rights, social justice, good governance, democracy, peace and culture of constitutionalism.
a. Nature of Work: Conducting activities on issues like transitional justice, conflict resolution, peace building paralegal training, access to justice, empowering community groups, rights awareness, monitoring and documenting rights abuses from victims and survivors.

4. Reptile Care
Volunteer are needed to help in snake-park caring for reptiles whose existence in Kenya is threatened by expanding human settlement, poaching and game-sports. Snakes are useful as they clear rodents, provide anti-venom drug, offer opportunity for research study and attracts tourists which bring income to local community.
a. Nature of Work: Help with feeding snakes, daily hunting for food, construction and maintenance of cages, monitoring snake health, searching for new snakes and guiding tourists.

5. Teaching Projects
We need volunteers to help in imparting elementary knowledge to children in two rural primary schools in Kenya. The children include those in kindergartens, nursery and upper classes/level.
a. Nature of Work: Teaching pupils syllabus subject[s] of your choice or those allocated by the school administration. Creativity in teaching methods will only make your work better. This placement is available during school terms, and long-term teaching volunteers take a holiday break in the months of April, August and December.

6. Museum Work
Volunteers are needed to help in a beach-front Museum working to collect, preserve, study, document and show-case Africa's past and present cultural and natural heritage.

Volunteers are needed to serve with a humanitarian relief organization working to alleviate human suffering and militating against effects of disasters like drought, famine, flooding, diseases, accidents and poor health.
a. Nature of Work:Assisting with distribution of relief food supplies, emergency and rescue operations, tracing services, first aid, blood donation, managing killer diseases, harvesting water, innovative agricultural farming projects, public awareness, training on disaster management, and compiling activity reports. 8. Construction Wokcamps
We need volunteers to help in constructing classrooms at a rural school in Kenya. The new rooms are expected to create additional space for more children to learn/access elementary education.

9. Medical and Health Care
Volunteer are needed to assist in local hospitals which have good facilities and equipments, but facing deficit in terms of staff resources to cope with the high number of patients daily.
a.Nature of Work:
Patient's registration, check-ups, treatments, testing, injection, vaccinating, dressing, drug prescription, imaging services, counseling, maternity deliveries, emergency services, nursing, morgue services, wheeling patients, supporting in women, men and pediatric wards.

10. Dental Service
Volunteers are needed to help in Kenya's dental clinics which are abuzz with children and adults seeking treatment for teeth and gums problems. The volunteer will work alongside dentists in a clinic receiving over 200 patients daily.
a.Nature of Work: Patient's registration, dental check-up, administering anesthesia, taking x-rays, extraction of teeth, filling, fitting dentures, replacement of extracted teeth through surgery, cleaning teeth, aligning teeth and advising on good dental care and hygiene.

13. Troubled Girls Safe-House
We need volunteers assist in our center sheltering young girls escaping from forced circumcision and early marriage. These traditional practices deny hr girls access to education, right to self determination among other opportunities.
a. Nature of Work: House cleaning, cooking, making beddings, mentoring, teaching vocational skills, conducting campaigns against harmful traditional practices in a conservative community. This placement is available during holiday months of April, August and December every year.

16. Wildlife For Development
Volunteers are needed to help in a community-owned elephant park inhabited by over 800 elephants. The park operates several income-generating projects which promote the economic welfare of the local people.
a. Nature of Work: Elephants tracking, park fence maintenance, monitoring human activities, bio-diversity [plants labeling], making-papers from elephants' dung, tour-guiding and marketing.

17. Disabled Children/ Special Education
We need volunteers to assist in a school struggling to raise comprehension levels of disabled children of Kenya. The children are partially sight-impaired, entirely blind, and blind with other handicaps or conditions like albinism.
a. Nature of Work: Teaching syllabus subjects, computers, recording tales or spoken sentences on CD-Rom for the blind students to listen to. Others are walk-guiding, cleaning classrooms, playground, dormitories, cooking, making beds and playing with children.

18. Children’s Rescue Center
We need volunteers to help in our center sheltering distressed children rescued by police, children officers or the court of law from abusive family environment or other situations. The rescued children stay briefly at the center under protection, before being transferred to children's care homes.
a. Nature of Work: Office work, processing new arrivals, working out children's safety measures, following up on individual child's case, housekeeping, mentoring and placing kids to different children care homes/orphanages.
