Summer Placements In Kenya - 2010

I have the pleasure to inform you that, the placements for summer 2010 are available starting from June 1 to September 30, 2010 in Kenya. The placements last for 2, 3 weeks to 3 months. The selected placements below are open to both individual and group volunteers. You will immerse yourself in a new world of culture, language, traditions and way of life. Develop close friendships that last a lifetime. Enjoy the hospitality of host community where you will actively be volunteering in a camp/project towards a common good, or enjoying a wild tour. The 6 Top Summer Placements are;

1. Orphanage Summer Placements
Volunteer work with children aged between one month and 20 years, in special care homes assisting orphaned children. You can teach them anything, provide hygienic lessons, prepare meals, make beddings, play games and go for excursions. Come share in their dreams, emotions, fears and hopes.

2. Hospital Summer placements
This is a good chance to join local nurses and doctors in provision of medical and health care to children and adults. You may choose to work in pediatrics wards, out/in-patients services, laboratory services, wards, maternity, dental, eye-ear-nose clinics or in special clinics. Remember to bring a reference letter from your university, institution or employer.

3. Wildlife Summer Placements
This holiday you have a unique opportunity to care for some wild animals in orphanage (Zoo) located in a forest reserve. You will feed them, check their health, study and play with them. You will also been involved in capturing the injured, or the orphaned young ones from the forest.. You can also undertake other activities related to their eco-system.

4. Construction Summer Camps
Join a group of volunteers in three weeks construction work camp to help provide decent and adequate social amenities space for a community. You will dig the foundation; make floor, mold bricks, paint, mix ballast, fix windows, doorframes and roofs.

5. Museum Summer Placements
You will work in beach from Museum to in preserving historical art-facts and monuments. Besides research, exhibitions and museum displays tours, August will involve public educational campaign activities - like drama, dance, fashion shows, film screening, music concerts and sports. 6. Dental Summer Placements
Are you a dentist or student of dentistry? This is a good opportunity to assist with dental service in local hospital dental clinic’s abuzz with patients with teeth problems. Help with dental care, correction, surgical, medical work [anesthesia, x-rays, extraction of teeth, filling, fitting dentures, surgery of mouth, replacement of extracted teeth through surgery, cleaning teeth, aligning and straightening teeth, educating patients about ways to preserve healthy teeth].
