Five of Kenya Children’s Orphanages and THIVS local project Partners are currently desperate and they are urgently appealing for your help. The 5 Homes are Likoni Children's Home, Bala Mercy Children's Centre, Njaaga Children's Hope, Kitui Children's Home and Omega Orphanage, which assists more than 400 children, urgently needs clothes; funding and upgrading to enable them continue assisting the high number of orphans. The Orphanages relies on well-wishers to operate. And with no reliable donor todate, this international appeal is expected to give the home a new lease of life.

Before joining the orphanages, the children had faced many problems in life – both on the urban streets and lonely situation. They had no home, no families, no education and no healthcare. Everyday, they lived with hunger, severe malnutrition, disease and insecurity. But even at the Orphanages (their only hope), they still face profound challenges that are hard to grasp as the management lacks capacity to provide for basic/critical needs. The children (aged 1-to 22 yrs) some HIV/Aids positive spend nights on the floor, with little food, medical care, some walk bare-footed and partially naked. They attend informal lessons in mud-walled and non-equipped classrooms. Indeed, each day is a real struggle for survival. So, your kind support will therefore brighten a child’s future.
 
There Are 10 Ways You Can Help

1. Donate Clothes:
   You can offer them that old clothe you don’t need (shirt, short, socks, pullover, T-shirt, belt, shoes, sandals, dress, skirt, caps, towel, vest, bed sheet, blankets, and pillows etc.
2. Donate Kits:
   A playing kits, balls, toys, games, net and other items of recreation and sports uses are highly appreciated.
3. Donate Medicine:
   Drugs shall greatly help the children to stay medically fit and especially stabilize the health well-being for those who are Living With HIV/AIDS.
4. Donate Money:
   Any Money would help them buy food, provide health care, hire staff, upgrade the informal buildings, send children to school/ training, stabilize their operations – thus help move a child's life forward!  Just 1 dollar a day will make a difference to the world poor. 
5. Donate Books:
   Send story books, exercise materials to spur learning, creativity and Help promote literacy among children. They accept almost everything!
6. Donate Computer:
   Help introduce learning in Information Technology areas among children and staff by giving them computers – even refurbished pieces is highly welcome.
7. Volunteer Time:
   You can become a volunteer and share your time, skills and love with one of the Orphanage family.
8. Sponsor a child for 1$ a day and you will receive a picture of the child you are sponsoring and two reports each year giving you information on how your child is doing.
9. Fund Shipments: Help us bring to Kenya donated gifts which are lying in stores abroad due to high cost of shipment and flights.
10. Take adventure expedition for mercy mission, and you will help in securing food and other basics for children.
